This is a collaborative project with orchestra director, Sohan Kalirai from St. John's College, University of Cambridge that involves a live music performance and my live painting in response to the music. During the live performance, I used the rhythm and sounds of each music piece as inspiration to create a series of painting.
As the 12 man band played the live instruments, I used brushstrokes and acrylic colors to capture the mood and energy of the music in my paintings. The audience was able to witness the process of my artistic creation in real-time, as I responded to the music and translated it onto the canvas.
The live painting and music performance was a unique and immersive experience, combining the auditory and visual senses to create a dynamic and engaging performance. The collaboration brought together two different art forms to create something truly unique and memorable.
