How my RSA competition entry led me to developing a platform for social and community engagement across all generation

The problem I identified is the lack of awareness and engagement in environmental safety and healthy living, especially among different generations. There is a need to bridge the gap between generations and create a platform that promotes learning and engagement in these important topics.
To address this issue, I did some thorough investigation through surveys and one-on-one interviews to understand the current state of environmental safety and healthy living among different generations.
A survey of individuals from different age groups and backgrounds was conducted to assess attitudes towards intergenerational learning, role playing, healthy living, and environmental safety. The survey results showed that:
There is a positive attitude towards intergenerational learning, with 85%
of respondents agreeing that it is important to learn from people of different ages.
Role playing was identified as an effective teaching method by 70% of respondents.
Respondents indicated a need for education on healthy living and environmental safety,
with 90% of respondents agreeing that it is important to live a healthy lifestyle and
protect the environment.
Community-based approaches were preferred by 80% of respondents as a means of
promoting healthy living and environmental safety.
The key insight I discovered from these results, is the lack of communication and understanding between generations, leading to a limited transfer of knowledge and a lack of engagement in these topics. Additionally, there is a need for an interactive platform to promote learning and encourage participation.
Then I proposed an intervention to develop an intergenerational role playing activity/game which I named GenQuest, this idea will promotes learning and engagement in environmental safety and healthy living. The activity will create a platform for different generations to interact and learn from each other
through interactive challenges and activities. This will also help bridge the gap between generations, promote transfer of knowledge, and encourage active participation in environmental safety and healthy living. The game will be developed to be fun and engaging, making it an effective tool for education and creating awareness.
